AquaTru Shower
- IT IS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE YOUR SHOWER FILTER EVERY 90 DAYS OR 1,300 GALLONS. MAKE SURE YOUR SHOWER IS TURNED OFF BEFORE FILTER REPLACEMENT.
- Push up on the button and quarter turn the shower face counterclockwise. The face and the filter should easily Old Filter detach from the top.
- Place the face on a flat surface. Unscrew the old shower filter counterclockwise. Toss the old filter out.
- Remove your new shower filter from its packaging. Remove WHITE stickers from the inlet and outlet faces of the new replacement filter.
- Screw in your brand new Protective Film shower filter into the shower face clockwise.
- Insert the shower face into the shower housing while aligning the semi-circular markers. Quarter turn the face in clockwise direction to lock the face and the housing. You can now enjoy carefree and chlorine-free showers for the next 3 months.
AquaTru Model 1
- Turn off the water supply in your Model 1 Unit.
- Remove the front panel.
- To flush the filters, first remove any filters you intend to replace by quarter-turning them clockwise. The manifold positions pivot to make this easier.
- After replacing any filters you need to change, close the valve leading to the tank and open the flushing valve. Both of these can be found next the filter manifold.
- Using some spare 1/4" tubing route the water from the flushing valve into a 5 gallon bucket or other large container.
- Let the filters flush until you've filtered at least 2.5 gallons of water. This can take up to 30 minutes.
- After you've flushed the filters, go back to the valves you open and closed before. Now open the upper valve and close the lower valve.
- Double check the bypass valves are properly configured, and allow the unit to filter for 2 - 5 minutes. Check for any leaks before replacing the front cover. Follow the steps below to reset the filter life indicator.
AquaTru Model 3
- Turn off the water supply in your Model 3 Unit.
- Remove the front panel.
- If you are replacing only the Mineral Electrolyte Boost Filter, all that is required is to remove the filter currently installed in the unit and replace it with a new one.
- If you’re replacing any other filters you will need to flush them before replacing the mineral electrolyte boost filter.
- To flush the filters first remove any filters you intend to replace by quarter-turning them Clock-wise. The manifold positions pivot to make this easier.
- After you have replaced any needed filters remove the Mineral Electrolyte Boost filter (even if you aren’t replacing it yet) and install the filter flusher.
- Now take a 5-gallon bucket or other large water-tight container and direct the outlet of the flusher to this bucket.
- Turn on the water supply and let at least 5 gallons of water flow through the fitlers to make sure they are thoroughly flushed.
- After you’ve flushed the filters remove the Filter Flusher and reinstall or replace your Mineral Electrolyte boost filter.
- Allow the unit to filter normally for two to five minutes while you monitor for any leaks before replacing the front panel and following the steps below to reset the filter change lights on the control panel.
